Medical Care

Being well-prepared for your medical needs while on your international assignment is important to the peace of mind for both you and your family. While basic information regarding health care in your country of assignment is available on the US Department of State website, it does not provide details of the care available to you as a government contractor.
The purpose of this section is to provide you specific information about the health care options available in your country of assignment and guidance on where to turn when additional assistance is needed. This information is provided for knowledge only and should not be considered a recommendation on where to obtain health care.
Important Note:  Medical services from Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) are not freeShould services be provided to you at the military facilities there will be a cost associated with those services. The Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) will invoice Vectrus and a payroll deduction will be processed for payment of the invoice. It will be your responsibility to submit a claim to the insurance carrier for reimbursement in accordance with your elected medical plan.
Additionally, retired and reserve members of the military will be coded as a Contractor at these facilities and billing will be in accordance with the above. Please review the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy if you have any questions on this matter.
